Kubernetes engineer (Go developer)

We work on architecture and implementation of cloud management solution using best approaches and possibilities provided by Openstack, Kubernetes and other thriving innovative technologies. Primary responsibilities:

  • Contribute and become part of the the Kubernetes project (Go)

  • Analyze requirements from Openstack team, propose and implement necessary improvements to Kubernetes

  • Participate in design and implementation of life cycle management of Openstack by Kubernetes

  • Interact with Kubernetes community and Openstack team, engage in conversations via email and teleconferences, interact with a distributed team (Ukraine, Russia, France, Poland, US)

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Great analytic and problem solving skills

  • Fast learning and self-starter abilities

  • Experience in software development for at least 6 years

  • Experience in developing and operating large scale distributed systems

  • Experience in using Go or other system languages to build robust production systems

  • Experience contributing to an large open source project

  • Understand container runtimes (Docker) and virtualization technologies (KVM)

  • Good Linux experience

  • Experience with Git, Gerrit, other code review systems

  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts

  • Ability to read/create technical documentation and write letters in English

Will be a plus:

  • Contributed to Openstack or Kubernetes
